Iberovías, a Rover Alcisa Group company, concludes the expansion of the suburban train in La Cartuja

Iberovías, a rail company of the Rover Alcisa Group, which is specialized in the construction and maintenance of railway superstructure works has made the construction project to expand the rail service in La Cartuja in Seville, which constitutes the route of the C-2, which connects Santa Justa with La Cartuja.

With this work, the Rover Alcisa Group through its company Iberovías, specifies territorial coverage commuter service expansion from the optimization of the existing rail network and increasing the supply of rail transport.

 

The Commuter Plan contemplates the creation of a new line connecting the Island of La Cartuja with Santa Justa including the construction of new stations and improvements in urban infrastructure in the ring. Along with Iberovías it is also participating in a joint venture for the execution of the contract the companies Sando and Elecnor.

The scope of works includes part of the exterior branch of the Madrid-Seville, Huelva branch, bifurcation los Naranjos, Seville-Huelva line and branch of La Cartuja, including current Olympic Stadium halts and La Cartuja, running in the province of Seville in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.

The main purpose of the work is to get a new commuter line between the output of Santa Justa to the station of La Cartuja, which will have trivialized way down the line and three new stations or halts.
