Iberovías, a company of the Rover Alcisa Group, has completed the remodeling of the station of Teruel.

The works have meant a far-reaching action on the existing railway infrastructure, with both on the road and the station facilities for users.

With this action we manage to integrate the Station of Teruel on the Line of High assistance Sagunto-Zaragoza, as part of the Valencia rail corridor - Zaragoza - Central Pyrenees, giving it modern and reliable equipment, which will result in greater safety and greater comfort for travellers.

Special attention has been given to the treatment of the Travellers Building, built with roden stone and located in one of the historic facades of the city of Teruel.

Iberovías has made several actions at the station that include WORKS ON TRACK IN SECURITY FACILITIES IN PLATFORMS, IN PASSENGER BUILDING and the removal of LEVEL CROSSING PK 132 +740.

With regard to the works in rail, Iberovias has made the renewal with UIC-lane and cross-piece 60 and PR-01 of the main roads, forming long welded bars, another rail renewal with lane UIC54 and cross-piece PR-01 of secondary roads, the modernization rationalization of all the rail machines and the installation of new electronic scale.

In terms of security has made the electronic enclave Station, compatible with future electrification, integrated line-Zaragoza Sagunto and the needle heater installation to operate at low temperatures.

In platforms, Iberovías has realized an increase in the length of platforms, up to 200 m, to allow use by double circles, and width of the central platform, up to 6 m, for comfort and passenger safety.

In this sense, it has also made an implementation on pedestrian under way, adapted to PMR, with elevators to provide communication to the central platform.

In the passenger building, the works have included the refurbishment of the roof, replacing the cement with the other sandwich panel, covered in copper. The cleaning and reparation of the façade and restoring damaged areas. Renovation of exterior carpentry, doors and windows in the main lobby, as well as resurfacing and polishing granite cladding panels has risen, expanding the area for passengers.

It has also been performed the comprehensive modernization of public toilets in accordance with regulations of transport accessibility, the provision of automatic doors in the main lobby, for the convenience of users, and installation of indicators, signaling, timing, public address and new banks.

Regarding to the replacement of level crossing, an overpass over the tracks has been built.
