| MQ-PH-30 Hydraulic Gantry Cranes |
The main advantage of these gantry cranes is their high productivity with regard to other railway track renewal systems. Their fast operating movement speed, with the ability to transport up to 16-meter pairs of railway tracks at a speed of 18 km/h, is far above the 3 km/h of caterpillar systems. These gantry cranes work in pairs, and carry out the lifting, transferring and positioning of the armed railway track. They are able to pull up a railway track that is buried in ballast, as well as to transport up to 30 tons of load. They work on an exterior auxiliary railway track that is parallel to the treated railway track, with a 3,500-meter distance between rails. They can be transported on a railway wagon without interceding in the railway gauge. They are completely hydraulic, and are operated by radio control, although they also have the option to be controlled by manual commands. They have an auxiliary pump motor to be used if the main pump breaks up in order to avoid stopping the activity in such cases. |
